CGI produces independent, fact-based journalism that investigates abuses of power, examines issues affecting communities, challenges disinformation, and strengthens public accountability. Our work combines investigative reporting, multimedia storytelling, African-language journalism, and responsible use of emerging technologies.

Our Programs

The Center for Global Integrity (CGI) is a pan-African nonprofit journalism organization committed to delivering independent, credible, and fact-based news and information across the African continent and to African diaspora communities worldwide.

Through journalism in major African and international languages spoken across the continent, CGI seeks to overcome language barriers, reach underserved communities, counter disinformation, and strengthen public accountability.

Our programs encompass investigative journalism, governance and human rights reporting, artificial intelligence accountability, multimedia news production, journalism training, and community engagement.

CGI's vision is to build a trusted, multilingual journalism network connecting African communities through accurate information, independent reporting, and meaningful public dialogue.

Languages & Regional Coverage

The Center for Global Integrity (CGI) is developing a pan-African journalism network designed to serve audiences across North, West, Central, East, and Southern Africa, as well as African diaspora communities worldwide.

Our multilingual approach aims to deliver credible, independent journalism in major African and international languages spoken across the continent, including:

Arabic, English, French, Hausa, Kinyarwanda, Kirundi, Ndebele, Portuguese, Shona, Somali, Swahili, Xhosa, and Zulu.

CGI also intends to expand its reporting into additional African languages as resources and partnerships develop.

Through locally informed reporting, cross-border collaboration, and culturally relevant storytelling, CGI seeks to overcome language barriers, reach underserved communities, counter disinformation, and strengthen public accountability throughout Africa.
